Bueller?...Bueller?...Bueller?

On October 31st, 2008 we are recreating the parade scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off at the Village Halloween Parade. This will involve tens of thousands of people breaking out into the world's largest Beatles sing-a-long.

We want the streets to erupt in joy and for it to be one of the greatest experiences of everyone's lives.

We will need thousands of secret audience agents to get the ball rolling by imitating the extras in the scene and inspiring your neighbors in the audience to do the same.

We believe first and foremost in the power of joy and hope to celebrate this principle with you everyday for the rest of our collective lives.

PROJECT BUELLER: Who Will You Be?
Still not sure who you will be when the Ferris float gets rolling? Problem solved. You can be this guy—Shock Wave Jackson, one of Chicago’s top DJs from the 80s. The man who played the hits that put a glide in your stride and a dip in your hip. To bring Shock Wave to life you need two things: DISCO and CRISCO. DISCOYou need the disco mindset to truly get into this character.-Exude easy-going charm-Find your groove and stick with it -Be comfortable wearing multiple leather items simultaneously CRISCOHow do you think he got his hair perfectly sculpted into that Elvis mold? And that shine! Grab some Crisco and apply as needed. Throw on some thrift store shades, magic marker those sideburns on your face and hit the streets. When Ferris floats by, go with the flow and show him your love. After all, he’s almost as cool as you.Friends, get ready for the best day of your life!
P.S. I wanted to point out that the mustached guy on the right looks unmoved by Ferris and is probably the kind of person who would try to assassinate a president….just my impression.

CRISCO

How do you think he got his hair perfectly sculpted into that Elvis mold? And that shine! Grab some Crisco and apply as needed.

Throw on some thrift store shades, magic marker those sideburns on your face and hit the streets. When Ferris floats by, go with the flow and show him your love. After all, he’s almost as cool as you.

Friends, get ready for the best day of your life!
